It also extends Markdown with a couple features made popular <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/github\/github-flavored-markdown\">by GitHub<\/a>.  Conversion from Markdown to HTML is completely automated and doesn't require anything on the commenter's part.<\/p>\n\n<p>The feature additions from GitHub are:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Single linebreaks are treated as new paragraphs<\/li>\n<li>Code \"fencing\" with three backticks (```)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Two notable features from GitHub's Markdown implementation are missing:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>To do lists: Doing these well would require some front end interaction, which I decided is outside the scope of this plugin at least for now<\/li>\n<li>Repository autolinking (e.g. comments, issues, etc): These seemed a little <em>too<\/em> GitHub-specific.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>GitHub-Flavored Markdown Comments is developed, unsurprisingly, <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/evansolomon\/wp-github-flavored-markdown-comments\">on GitHub<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<!--section=installation-->\n<p>This plugin doesn't have any options.  Install it, activate it, and it's on.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> GitHub-flavored Markdown Comments required PHP <strong>5.3<\/strong> or later.
